Using a toy camera for a real photoshoot??!
It’s time for another photoshoot #challenge yall, but this time… with a #TOY #camera?? I saw Brandon Woelfel take on this challenge, and I immediately knew that I wanted to try it as well! How do y’all think I did?? 📸 I wanted to start in the studio, so I built a few different sets to show you guys that it’s possible to get a lot of photos in the same space as long as you’re creative! We started with MayTay lying down on a grey, fluffy rug with her hair sprawled out. I really liked this setup because of the different textures that I got to play with! Photos are always super cool when different textures and materials are involved, because the photos have a lot more dimension. Using a toy camera makes them a lot more interesting! Next we moved on to a wall of flowers, which I absolutely LOVED! Something about the flowers seemed very vintage, and it was a really cool vibe. It was challenging though, because I can’t change any settings, or even choose what I am focusing on with the toy camera. 😂Moving on, we put MayTay against a foil wall, which was a really big contrast to the flower wall. The flowers had an antique feel, and the foil was super reflective and futuristic. It’s crazy how many different looks you can get, all in the same studio! Plus, this camera has to be one of my favorite toys! We got a few more shots inside, then we moved outside to a train track. We were trying to get all of the shots that we needed before a big storm rolled in, so we were racing against the clock! The railroad shots were really cool though, and we also got some awesome shots utilizing some very colorful walls, while using colorful props. It was so different for me to shoot with a toy camera, I really had to get creative with where I placed my model since I didn’t have any control over the camera’s settings. It was all about color and texture, and making the images as interesting as I could! What do you guys think??
